Love Is A Four Letter Word

Wishful Wednesday
On the move yet again. Hoping for stars to align for my family despite the circumstances we've been unfortunately placed in.

Thoughtful Thursday
Just got home from an amazing wedding in Ilocos. All the charming details of the wedding got me pinning stuff on my "I Do" board on Pinterest. Never mind that I don't have a groom yet. At least I'm armed and ready. ♥ HAHA!

Current style crush: Raych of thatschic.net
Love her hair! ♥ And her laid-back style.

Let The Moon Be Our Only Light

Music Monday
I've been watching NBC's Smash—and loving it! You can say I'm sort of a frustrated singer, hahaha! I think years of being made to perform in front of titos and titas deluded me into thinking I could, well, actually sing. No worries, my repertoire can now only be heard inside the bathroom (and the occasional trip to the videoke joints).

Tasty Tuesday

We ran out of chilimansi pancit canton so I added a teaspoon of Don Juan to my bowl. Sooo good!

Wishful Wednesday
TIME! The past 2 weeks have blurred just right past me. This is the only weekend that allowed me to stay home (except for half of today). Time well spent doing things I miss: watching TV series and making a couple of friendship bracelets. 2012, please slow down. Too many things happening and I'm scared I won't be able to keep up.

This seems to be the main theme of 2012 so far. I'm not complaining, but clearly, my bank account is.

Summer dressing on my mind: stripes, denim, florals. ♥ My favorite time of the year!

The Good Things

I'm almost done with the project I'm doing with Mikko and Alessa. It's taking much longer than we planned, but hopefully it'll come out perfect. (: I'm pretty excited to see the finished product! I'll make sure to post something when everything is finally in order.

The Candy Girls are going on a trip this coming week! We'll be missing two and half days of work (which I'm dreading!!! oh wait, only good things pala in this post) and basking in sun and love all the way in Ilocos. (: I love weddings! Can't wait to see everyone dolled up.

A new The Vampire Diaries episode, which I didn't get to watch until this morning. Nothing exciting, but TV makes me happy.

A quiet Saturday at home. I'm still not better, but hopefully an entire day at home will cure me. An unusual working Sunday will happen, but at least it'll be near my house. (Trying my best to not complain about everything!) Hopefully I'll still catch my relatives who are heading over for lunch tomorrow.

On Monday, I'm going to be all about the sunshine again. Promise.

Weekend Report

This week has been pretty toxic. I've been sick all week, but I've been trying to mask it by taking medicine, which I usually don't do. I like to just let the fever, cold, cough, etc run its course rather than take chemicals into my body. BUT getting sick isn't really an option these days. Too many things to do, too little time to do them. So you really have no choice but to suck it up and get things done.

I'm happy to report that I survived the week. Ticking off all but one on my unusually lengthy to-do list. I know it's been done before and I'm pretty sure we'll survive, but it will take some getting used to.

There were a few disappointments this week, but nothing that would send me into depression. I guess it's really just another lesson learned and that sometimes, you just have to let go and move on. Also, we lost quiz night this week! Boo, maybe we shouldn't have worn matching stripes. Haha!

I've been feeling really stuffy and icky all week (right after quiz night!) so I plan to stay in bed all day till I need to head out for Church and for my best friend's birthday dinner tonight. I hope staying up late won't get me sick again. s:

Hope you all have an awesome weekend ahead! I couldn't be happier to say hello to mine.

Baker's Bites: Mini Black-Bottom Cupcakes

I attended a surprise bridal shower for one of my good friends and Candy's former fashion editor over the weekend. Since it was potluck, we were thinking of bringing dessert—her favorite Macy's Fields Black-Bottom Cupcakes. I recently bought a mini-muffin pan so I can make miniature versions of my cupcakes. I made 47 perfect little cuppycakes (the 48th one was missing a bottom, haha!) that were worthy of their spot in Margaux's bridal shrine, heh. (: Can't wait to make these again!
