Wishful Wednesday
September has been a busy, busy month. I'm hoping to breeze through this week and enjoy my quick escape to the beach this weekend.

The Thought Of You Picks Me Up When I'm Lonely

Music Monday

Missed Color Me Badd's concert, but apparently they didn't perform this. I used to have that entire Spanish verse memorized. I can still sing-along to it. ♥

Tasty Tuesday

Made some fancy cake pops for a shoot at work. I miss baking and this is the closest I'll get for now.

Wishful Wednesday
Jason Mraz. October 30. Please cross your fingers for me. I love this man and his music. I've seen him live twice, but a third time won't hurt. Universe, please make the stars align for me. Birthday ko naman na ng November!

It's funny how Pottermore is making me feel like a giddy kid again. It's amazing how a simple book has turned into its own magical world—movies, a theme park (!!!), and an online portal! Got so stressed getting sorted (I got into Ravenclaw—not Gryffindor, where my heart truly belongs!) and figuring out potions (I ruined two because the site keeps crashing!), but it's so awesome! Add me as a friend: MoonstoneAvis117! (:

Fashion Friday

I remember spending afternoons with my mom, looking at her shelves filled with different shapes, sizes, colors of beads. There were Swarovski crystals of all sizes and colors, quirky beads from India, and glass pearls that looked like real ones. I finally asked Ate Elena and Pedro, our house boy, to unearth this box filled with all the pretty stuff. I have yet to find her wires and chains, but I've found some I can make charm bracelets with. I'm excited!

Crazy for Katsu

My brother swears by the Katsudon at Shinji Tanaka's recording studio. When I heard about Crazy Katsu, I figured I'd find myself there soon enough. It wasn't until last Saturday, though, that I finally got to check it out.

My friends and I were a bit full from merienda so we just split two orders between us: Chicken Katsu and Katsudon, plus an order of pudding for dessert. It was pretty yummy, but I guess I was expecting a lot based on people's recommendations.

We liked the Chicken Katsu best—it had a bit of kick from the chili and had just the right amount of crunch. The pudding was alright (leche flan!), but the caramel tasted a bit burnt.

I'd probably go back again. Maybe when my tummy isn't too full.

We're in Korea!

Last Saturday, we headed to the mall for our Candy Cuties mini-mag cover signing. Stephie had a brilliant idea of walking to Subspace Coffee after. I've never been there, but Steph loved it and I was intrigued by the Purple Potato Latte and the Peanut Butter Latte.

I've never been to Korea, but I'm guessing this is about the closest I'll ever get to going. The cafe was cozy and quite interesting. There were upturned chairs hanging from the ceiling (I'll admit I was worried they'd fall on us, haha), a weighing scale, different knick-knacks, and unique-looking chairs (I want the geometric high stools!).

I enjoyed my Peanut Butter Latte, which tasted exactly like melted Peanut Brittle, and my Corned Beef sandwich. Missing in my pictures is Kokita, who made a face when I took her photo. HAHA!

Pipino: Vegetarian Food by Pino

We visited Pipino last week to shoot it for the site. I've been hearing about it from friends, but was kind of worried I wouldn't like it (hardcore carnivore over here). But I went there with an open mind—and an open mouth. Ha!

I loved the handpainted dessert menu, the chalkboard menu on the wall, and the beautiful sunlight streaming in from the windows.

These are just a few of the things we tried, but I'll post a link to our feature once it's up. Can't wait to come back for the mushroom salpicao and Portobello Burger. Sooo good!

Wishful Wednesday
Hoping for sunny skies for the next four weekends. I'm going on a trip with the Candy Girls two weeks from now. I badly need color on my skin (I'm so pale!) so a little sun won't hurt. The Candy Fair is happening the week after and we all don't want another Ondoy to happen. Then on the last weekend of September, I'm attending one of my good friends' sister's wedding. It'll be on the beach! Plus, I don't have anything to wear to that yet! Eep. I wish one of these dresses would magically appear in my closet.

Been following Gemma Correll on Instagram. Love her cat sketches!

Fashion Friday

Check out this new (and super pretty!) shopping website called Miss Match. There are lots of brands featured that you can create your own looks with. There are also some pretty images you can add to your look (find Stephie's cute stickers!). My best friend is going to love this site!

'Cause this ride's never gonna stop

I am totally loving the new Blogger interface! So sleek and clean. (:

I just wanted to let y'all know (all 3 of you, including myself, sigh) that I'm still alive. For a really short work week, this sure felt like the longest one yet.

Here's hoping I survive the rest of September, because it certainly feels like I'm in for a ride.
