Daydreaming of Someday

Music Monday

Been listening to this all weekend! Heheheyyy. Not exactly the best song lyrics, but it's so catchy and this cover by Vampire Weekend is  awesome!

Tasty Tuesday
Crazy good macarons from Mrs. Graham's Bakery. This one was the inside-out s'mores. Absolutely loved the Brie with Truffle Oil & Honey!

Don't Wish, Don't Start

He could be that boy,
but I'm not that girl

{ Too hot to think. Misspelled  names x 2 }

Wishful Wednesday
Hoping for a good summer. The first three months of 2013 have been fun, interesting, and generally alright. But I really need more of constants in my life. Here's hoping the rest of the year gives that to me.

Think Of This Song As A Promise

Music Monday

{ From a year ago: YouTube Presents Jason Mraz Live from NYC }

The best thing about seeing him live is his unbelievably good adlibbing (is this even a word, sorry haha). I'm seeing him again in May and I cannot wait!

Tasty Tuesday
{ Banana Pecan Pancake, Breakfast at Antonio's }

Still thinking about this fluffy stack of pancakes from a shoot two weeks ago. Wish I could go back for them and a cup of hot cocoa with a giant marshmallow on top.

Wishful Wednesday
{ Saturday morning mess }

I haven't been making anything lately, but yesterday, after a tiring and stressful week, I just had to do something crafty. Haven't used the nib I got from Alessa's workshop a couple of weeks ago because I don't have a desk in my room. But I made do with my bedroom floor. Waited for the ink to dry before painting over it with watercolor. Planning to buy a frame to put this in to give to my best friend. Her daughter just turned 3 months on her 30th birthday. (: The words are from one of my favorite John Mayer songs.

An attempt at chronicling what I wear every day. No reason, I'm just obsessive about things like this. Haha! I stopped for about five months, though. Let's see what happens the rest of the year.

Death

One of my favorite quotes from one of my favorite shows. Say a prayer for all your loved ones who have passed. Eternal rest, grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

happy thought

Last night, before going to sleep, I turned on my TV and switched the channel to HBO.

Stranger than Fiction was on and I switched right in time to hear my favorite line in my favorite scene from the movie. "I figured, if I was going to make the world a better place, I'd do it with cookies."

All kinds of kilig

I first wrote about what an officemate thought of my Chocolate Turtle Pie a year and a half ago. And since then, I've always thought it was one of the best things said about my baking.

But these past few days, as I've been selling more stuff to my officemates, I've been hearing the sweetest (some funny, even!) comments ever.

The direct (and other variations of it):
OMG MACE!!! ANG SARAP!!!
—Rochellaaa

The anecdote:
Kinain ng mga kapatid ko yung cupcake! Super sarap daw!
—Stephie

The metaphor:
It's like kissing a girl...
—hulaan niyo kung sino :))

The comparison:
Omg, macy! Omg! It's the best cupcake ever! It's my fave among the 3 treats I've tried! It's like the Happy Ants I like but tons better! Aaaa!
—the best-est boss ever!

It was worth staying up `til midnight to get 24 cupcakes done by today. (:

Who would've thought I'd be quoting the doctor?

"Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."

That's it, pancit. (:

Why I Could Grow An Old Maid

him: Hindi kita ma-imagine na may ka-kiss.
me: What!? Sana hindi mo talaga ini-imagine diba?!
him: Hinde, parang forever ka kasing baby sister ko. Parang hindi pwede. Daddy's girl ka na nga, kuya's girl pa.

I don't know whether to cry out of happiness or frustration with this conversation. Ha ha! d:

All she wants is to dance

15:15, Seoul. Shyness is no excuse. I used to think I was too shy to dance—but then I felt so happy doing it, I just knew I could never go back. Am still a shy person, but one who will do everything she wants to.

Found this in my phone when I was cleaning out my inbox, outbox, and saved messages. I typed it into my phone one day in Baguio, when Marla and I were waiting to go back to Manila. It was a display at the Nike store with Korean singer BoA on the walls.

In Church (twice) today, I couldn't help but cringe at my stomach, which now (sadly) bursts out of my jeans. My thighs have never been thin, but they haven't been this massive, either. I never used to have a problem with my weight, but I think it's safe to say that I am now unfit.

I wish I could dance again. Maybe even just twice a week, an hour at a time. I can start tomorrow—if I remember.

Today will be tomorrow's yesterday

Some people believe that without history, our lives amount to nothing. At some point, we all have to choose. Do we fall back on what we know or do we step forward to something new? It's hard not to be haunted by our past. Our history is what shapes us, what guides us. Our history resurfaces time after time, after time. So we have to remember, sometimes the most important history is the history we're making today. — Time After Time, Grey's Anatomy

I might not like Meredith very much, but I love her voice-overs.

There are some things that I try to forget, or at least keep myself from remembering. If I do it long enough, I think that it'll just go away on its own. But after some time, I realize that it doesn't exactly happen that way. I just kind of wish that it did.

What matters is that today, I'm okay. And tomorrow, I'll try to be better.

*kilig*

Now how do I describe them? They're like my first kiss, an unforgettable happy thought or that moment when I'd witness a rainbow after a rainy day. In short, pure bliss :D

If there's anything I can be proud of, it's my baking. Especially these pies! I'm telling you, everyone who has tasted it has said that it's good. Haha, so it must be true! I'm so kilig like you cannot imagine! Hahaha! Thanks, Chebee! :D
