Music Monday
Ever since I read this article, I've been on a Garden State sound trip. Zach Braff's new movie Wish I Was Here also has a pretty awesome soundtrack.
Tasty Tuesday
Still thinking about the paella negra with aioli from this year's Yummy Eats. I clearly did not think my day through. After a couple of hours sampling food at the Metrotent (I didn't even get to make it to half of the list!), I had lunch with my college besties, which stretched on to merienda of coffee, macarons, and cheesecake. Eep. My excuse? PMS. Hahaha! It's always my excuse.
Wishful Wednesday
Hoping that I get to see the songs from Jason Mraz's latest album performed live. Maybe he'll swing by again? (:
Thoughtful Thursday
I've been trying to get back into craftier things these days. Luckily some friends indulge in my feeble attempts at typography and watercolor. Some illustrations I was commissioned to do a few months ago are about to be published in a book very soon. And I'm currently working on something fun for friends. Can't wait to see how it'll all come together! I'm happy to have discovered that a hobby is actually worthy enough to be seen by others. Hehe.
Fashion Friday
Got a pair of joggers on sale from Dorothy Perkins after catching a screening of She's Dating the Gangster with my friends from the office. Which, by the way, was not half bad. I truly feel that Kathryn Bernardo is Sarah Geronimo, junior (and I love Sarah G!). Little known fact: the seed of this movie was planted at one of our monthly reports. Haha! Crazy how it has snowballed into what it is now. CRAY! Also: the movie was totally a '90s throwback, making me reminisce about see-through beepers (didn't you have one of those, too?) and DMs (wish I kept my brown ones!). I am officially old.

A Good Day For Eating
Spent my Saturday in good company, both in terms of food and friends. Headed to the Rockwell Tent for Yummy Eats (after last year, how could we not go?) The venue this year was much smaller than last year's so it was a bit hard to get around. But that definitely didn't stop us from sampling all the Yummy Eats at the tent!
Now back to regular food programming. Got a shoot tomorrow that I'm excited-nervous about. Wish me luck!
Cukay's Red Velvet cupcake. So good!
Style Bible's Isha Andaya-Valles serving Chuck's Grub!
Almost like liempo chicharon. Sarap!
My favorite of the day: the best chocolate chip cookies with fleur de sel. Omnomnom.
Sampled the Aztec Truffle and the Bluecheese Praline. Yummy! (Sorry, I'm probably going to reuse this term a lot in this entry.)
Pinkerton's Alexandra Rocha noticed we were sweating like pigs (hehe) and offered us a sample of their guava basil sorbet. Truly refreshing!
That's Shar Tan of Qitchen Queens/Goodles (also, Candy's former fashion editor!).
LOVED the ham and mushroom cheese dip. Forgot to take home a jar.
Mochiko debuted their new flavor at the event. We sampled milk tea and Oreos and milk. Looooved the Oreos and milk.
Attempting to take a photo of Pipino's booth, I managed to intrude in this couple's moment. Haha, whoops!
And as if all that food wasn't enough, we had late lunch at Cafe Med and I had this entire plate to myself. Hee hee!
We went around the mall in an attempt to burn all the calories from the event but ended up waiting at a coffee shop to eat some more before dinner. Met up with my favorite friends from college and had breakfast with margaritas (hee hee!). Ended the day with a yummy slice of Red Velvet cake and I went home with a super satisfied tummy.
Now back to regular food programming. Got a shoot tomorrow that I'm excited-nervous about. Wish me luck!

Bottomless Pits: A Day of Endless Eating
I'm not a very fit person. I like to eat and I will eat anything and everything if I want to. I exercise only so I have an excuse to indulge in all my favorite food. That said, I don't think I can ever go on a diet. O:
So when my friends Koko, Mimi, and Stephie said they were heading to Yummy Eats, I invited myself. Haha! It was going to be a day filled with good food and who in their right mind would pass up the opportunity? Definitely not me.

Mochiko mochi with Azuki and Sesame Seed ice cream — they took our photo with their cute Instax and posted it on a wall. Azuki is ♥!

There were so many food stalls, we didn't know what to try first. But this guy just stood in our way and practically shoved a spoon of ice cream into our mouths. But I'm glad he did because Holly's Milk's Salted Caramel ice cream was A+! I was too full to grab myself a cup before heading out, but I'd gladly buy a gallon or two! The tent was divided into Sweet Street and Savory Street. You can probably guess what street we traversed first. Hehehe.

I liked most of what we tried and bought some of Bean & Baker's Orange Vanilla Biscotti to take home. (: I had some with coffee this morning for my second breakfast (haha!). I would've loved to try the Tiramissyou from Risa's Chocolates but it was going to be a long day and I knew for sure it would just melt in the car. I really liked the truffles with Orange and Cerveza Negra.

Koko got us Balamban Liempo and Big Daddy's Chicken (the plum-flavored one was yum-o!) for "lunch" as if all our sampling wasn't enough. I would've gotten myself a bottle of the herbed cream cheese dip (so good!) but I was scared I wouldn't have enough money for the rest of the day. Oh, to be non-rich. Silver lining: won Alfajores from Kusina Teatro in the raffle! Thumbs up all around to the staff of Yummy for a super successful event! Hope there's another one next year! (:
Headed to Heima in LRI Design Plaza so Koko could check out the new collection. The tote I wanted was a bit too pricey for me so I split this button pin set with Mim and Koko. I got the "What's Up?" pin with a bow to match the "What's Up?" pin with a mustache that Mimi gave me. (:
And as if we hadn't had enough food, we checked out The Room Upstairs that was in the same building as Heima. We split the Assorted Bruschetta, Tuyo Pasta, and Vigan Longganisa sandwich among us. They tried the lemon grass iced tea while I had an iced caramel macchiato (so good!).

We checked out the SuperSale bazaar at Rockwell after and guess what, the eating wasn't over yet! We parked our butts in one of our fave hangouts, Chili's! Split an order of Chicken Crispers (our fave!) with Mim and bottomless chips with cheese and beef.
Surprisingly, I was actually not full at the end of the day! Can you believe it?! But I was really sleepy. Haha! We were kidding that if the world were really to end that day, at least we'd die happy and full. (:
